"To me, integrity is more than just doing the right thing. It means going out of your way to make things better."

Marc Phillips' interest in volunteering was sparked when he joined Curtin Vounteers! as an undergraduate. He later worked in Curtin's Support Services and local government, before returning to manage CV!. He now runs volunteering and leadership activities to enrich the student experience and benefit the wider community.

"Respect for yourself is important in knowing how to respect others."

Sean Ralph is Curtin's Injury Manager. An elite amateur ironman triathlete and long-distance runner, Sean managed the relaunch of the Curtin Staff Wellness Program in 2014. He strives to be a role model for staff who want to make a positive change toward their health and fitness.

Dr Caroline Fleay has been an active campaigner for the rights of asylum seekers and refugees in Australia over the past fifteen years. As Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Human Rights Education, Caroline teaches human rights and conducts research into the experiences of asylum seekers and refugees.

"Excellence is not about being the best, it is doing your best with the right attitude."

Kyra Bonney was the first Indigenous woman to win the WA Chamber of Minerals and Energy 'Outstanding Woman in Resources' Award (2014) for improving opportunities for Indigenous people in the resource sector. A Curtin alumnus, Kyra runs her own consultancy business, is the youngest member of the WA Government Aboriginal Lands Trust and is Deputy Chairperson of an Indigenous youth leadership program.

"As an educator, I use teaching and research to have a positive impact on the wellbeing and sustainability of local and international communities."

Associate Professor Dr Reena Tiwari is Head of the Department of Architecture and Interior Architecture at Curtin. Reena is passionate about places everyone can access and enjoy. She believes that involving students and local communities in public architecture can bring about change for the better.
