Transforming Learning at Curtin

Work experience

Students are encouraged to look for opportunities to further enhance their work-place knowledge and experience. Both paid and volunteer work experience contribute to a student’s personal growth and development. Many students kick start their career through vacation work, an internship program, work experience or volunteer work in their field of study.

Students who take this initiative demonstrate personal motivation and a passion to learn and succeed making them more competitive candidates for graduate employment.

Both paid and unpaid work undertaken while studying at Curtin can be tracked and recognised on the new Curtin Extra Certificate.
